On Tuesday, March 14, the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth will be hosting three awardees of the 2023 International Women of Courage Award. Every year, the U.S. Department of State recognizes women from across the globe who have demonstrated exceptional courage while advocating for a more peaceful world. This year, they’ll be recognized by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and First Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden.
Three of the awardees, whose names are kept confidential, will join us in conversation to share their stories and perspectives on what it means to be a woman of courage. The topics of their discussion will range from documentation of human rights violations, supporting women victims of violence, storytelling & journalism, and promoting humanitarian work and refugee assistance.
We would love to invite all Dallas Professional Women members to join for the event and have secured you a discounted VIP experience to attend!
