DPW had a chance to catch up with #WomanOfTheWeek, Dr. Catrina, for a special 2-part interview to talk about her personal experiences that accelerated her career in addition to her mentorship platforms. Part 2 of her amazing interview podcast interview focuses on her efforts to help women and teen girls in the areas of sharpening their skills professionally & personally through her non-profit affiliations and new platforms like DOPE which is a combination of community coaching, mentoring and resources.


If you asked us to describe Dr. Catrina, we can go on for hours about all the skills she brings to the table, along with the hundreds of hats she wears in her multiple professional and advisory roles, but this soft-spoken, kind, considerate, Louisiana Native continues to make a global impact has earned the title of "The Chain Breaker" because she can spot potential, provide a roadmap, and help cultivate growth! As an Entertainment Executive & Visionary who is known as the whisperer and “The Negotiator” in the industry, Dr. Catrina’s life’s mission is to help individuals walk in their purpose by creating, igniting, and influencing them to unleash and embrace their power. As a producer, she creates a platform for individuals to share their stories of Triumph through the Arts. Dr. Pullum serves as the President of PullCorp Media & Business Consulting Group and Chief Creative Officer of Puissance Maison Productions.


Dr. Catrina is a Champion for Change, who works diligently to advocate on the behalf of sexual assault, human trafficking, and domestic violence survivors on a national platform. Dr. Catrina has been featured in Essence, O & Black Enterprise Magazines to name a few. Dr. Catrina has received honors from President Barak Obama, Congress members, State Representatives, and others. Dr. Catrina’s work has included working with Lifetime Television’s Surviving R.. Kelly Docuseries, Now You See National Campaign, Just US organization, Junior League, Women In Film, RAINN & etc.


Through her philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Catrina is making a global impact through her active board member for various charitable organizations such as Hip-Hop Legend & Philanthropist, MC Lyte’s Hip Hop Sisters Foundation, Center of Empowerment For Families & Youth (Board Chair), Vice President of the board for LIFT- Ladies In Film & Television, Board Of Directors for Target Evolution, Charter & Board Member of National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and a few others.
